By applying precise amounts of water, fertilizers, and pesticides, farmers can optimize yield, reduce waste, and lower costs. This approach also minimizes environmental impact by preventing overuse of resources. Innovations in food processing and preservation technologies are essential for extending the shelf life of products, ensuring food safety, and reducing waste. Techniques such as high-pressure processing (HPP), cold plasma treatment, and advanced packaging materials help maintain the nutritional quality and freshness of food while minimizing spoilage.
